Hi Cynthia! We had a GREAT time! Thank you so much. We really enjoyed Kaha Lani - very relaxed and a bit isolated - it was perfect! We had a great view from our condo, and sat and watched whales almost every afternoon! The weather was light rain several mornings, but sunny the rest of the day. I took some really nice looong walks on the beach, too! I would definitely stay at Kaha Lani again - that was a great recommendation. I will definitely contact you the next time we travel, also!! Thanks for the lei greeting, too - very nice. All in all it was a lovely vacation! Good job!

We had a WONDERFUL vacation. The dinners were perfect, Nick's was exquisite...Thank you for everything. Yes, we got back right after the third blizzard, and we are expecting more on Thursday. Last night the wind was clocked at 115 MPH in Boulder. Nobody slept well! I wish I was back on Maui!

I was just going to e-mail you! The Napili Surf was a fine place: not fancy, but with all the basics and then some. It was a wonderful trip: lots of surf, swimming, sleep, and solid eating. We rested and toured, got acquainted with another family with a little girl Eleanor's age, so they each had someone to play with. All the travel arrangements went perfectly, too, thanks to you. Appreciate all your help!!!

I liked the location of the hotel (Sheraton Princess). It was across the street from the beautiful Sheraton (forgot name- Outrigger?). I looked out my window and could see the beautiful hotel and the ocean behind it.

Also, all the Sheratons are linked. I could eat at any Sheraton and charge it to my room. The Royal Hawaiian is also a Sheraton.

Shangri La - what to say. I went a day early to the fabulous Honolulu Academy of Arts to purchase the Shangri La book. I studied the book before going on the tour so nothing was a surprise. My desire was to see Islamic art up close (not in a book) and I did that and was very pleased.

My favorite things were the laughing camels at the front door. They aren't Islamic (purchased at Gumps), but they are really wonderful. It was a little weird to be in someones home and imagine them as they would have been. The book and the guides gave a lot of personal info about Ms. Duke as her life related to Shangri La and I could kinda feel her presence through her accomplishments in her home.

Some of the people on the tours are interested in Islamic art and others are interested in the stories about Ms. Duke and want to see anything connected to her. Others take the tour just to do something different.

I will go back when more rooms are opened. Apparently, there is a lot of deferred maintenance; the foundation was not funded until recently (two years?) although Ms. Duke died in 1993?

Back from Kauai!

As you told me, it's my kind of place. Rapid growth scares me and most people who witness it, BUT the lush foliage, the perfume morning and night from blossoms, the 9 ft. tall hibiscus blossoms, the eternal kindness of the people who serve the tourists, the amount of things to see in one week, and the memories.

Thanks for making it possible. I also thank my two friends who live there. I was their first visitor from the mainland and believe me they did not let me miss one single item.

The ever present "rain" was exactly 1 hr. in one week, and then only a teensy amount. The accommodations were superb. I could live in that little condo as a retired person. The many artists would be my energizing force should I live there - no extreme sports, just photography, painting and gentle ocean dipping.

One friend from the mainland has tried to go (with me) for years. She is a retired nurse and we shall do so when the next chunk of money becomes available to us both (she lives in Green Valley, AZ and also owns an RV, so she and her husband are well-traveled over here.) I really believe she is a candidate for your services in 2007. All the people I contact will hear about Cynthia, you can be assured.

The vacation was great!! Yes you are right, it was too short. However, we had a wonderful time. Despite me misplacing our travel information, we still recovered from the setback and on Wednesday night went to a Luau at the Renaissance Hotel. We went parasailing, took a sunset cruise and helicopter ride on Thursday. Jet skiing and snorkeling on Friday. Then managed to finish snorkeling on Saturday morning before we left the island. I'm happy neither of us had to work on Sunday because we needed to recover from our vacation and REST on Sunday.

The hotel was nice, the people were friendly, the food was awesome and I had a great time shopping for souvenirs. Mahalo for everything and I will be contacting you again when we are ready to return.

Hi Cynthia,
Italy was Awesome! Globus was great, too. I loved the convenience of Globus doing most of the work for us. It was so relaxing to not have to worry about luggage, checking into hotels, seeing the major sites, and getting around each of the cities. All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime and I am so glad that we went. I have been having withdrawals ever since we returned home. I can't wait to go back. And the food was FANTASTIC. Amber and I only did one of the optional activities ... the Tuscan dinner in Florence. We opted to save our money and spend it on souvenirs. I wish we would have done the farewell dinner in Rome on the final night because there was a taxi strike and we couldn't leave our hotel. Other than that, everything was amazing.

Thanks for setting it all up. You're the best.

Thank you so much, Cynthia. (And thanks for the $25 gift certificate! It put a nice dent in our much enjoyed hotel purchases.) The vacation and the hotel were both fabulous!! Very memorable. We would definitely stay there again. What a great beach! We got over to the Mauna Kea and checked that out as well. Another amazing beach. Do you book many stays there? Do they ever have any specials? What about specials on suites (us in one room; grandma/auntie and kids in an adjoining/adjacent room) there or at the Hapuna Prince?

We're not planning any additional vacations at the moment, but it would be nice to know if specials come up on these things possibly for the future. Also, does booking considerably in advance get a better price?

I will email you my kids' frequent flyer numbers within a few days for our December trip.

Nice to hear from you. Orlando and I loved the trip. Italy is the best place I've been to so far. I loved the food and all the wonderful sites. I did enjoy the Gobus trip. It was a good way to see Italy for the first time. It was very nice to have them take care of luggage and travel. Plus, it was great to cut to the front of long lines. All in all, Globus was wonderful and Italy was GREAT!

If Sean and I had easy Internet access while in Hawaii, we would have emailed you that first day to say that we had arrived in Kona at the Outrigger Hotel by one p.m., and were snorkeling by two p.m. We both really loved the hotel. Sean kept saying how he enjoyed the open, breezy style of the hotel...and that it was right on the ocean with stunning views from every angle was so appealing to us. We enjoyed the snorkeling next door, hours and days of ocean swimming at the nearby beaches, a Cessna tour of the island to see the waterfalls, the lava flowing into the ocean and a hyper-bubbling lava vent, swimming with spinner dolphins in the ocean (via a 4 hour boat trip), and a trek to the volcano!!!

Sean and I made some special "Mom and Son" memories on this trip! Thanks for arranging it all so splendidly. We have the utmost faith in your travel arrangements and plan on relying on your recommendations for years!!

Sorry for not letting you know how it was sooner, have been very busy with work since I got home. The weather was fantastic and the island was beautiful and diverse in many ways. We had a wonderful time in Kauai. We all fell in love with the Island, so far our favorite of all islands. If you go, don't forget to go to JoJo's for the best shaved ice on the island. We loved everything about the island. Everything was close enough that you did not have to spend all day driving. Lots of variety and the beaches are spectacular! We would go back again and again... Thank you Cynthia. Your suggestions and knowledge were invaluable. We did have a Happy Hawaiian vacation!

Thanks for making our family vacation one to remember. The Big Island was just our speed and your suggestion to pamper ourselves by spending a few days at the Hilton Waikoloa was a dream come true.
